Speed to Lead: call new leads in seconds
Give your website form or CRM an endpoint, and an agent calls every new lead back within seconds.
How it works
Each Speed to Lead setup gets its own web address (an endpoint). Your website form, CRM or Zapier sends each new lead there, and the agent you chose calls them back after the delay you set, inside your calling window, and tries again if they don't pick up. Open it from Advanced → Speed to Lead in the sidebar.
You'll need a published agent set to make outgoing calls, at least one phone number, and your TCPA consent attestation on file under Settings → Brand → Compliance & data.
Set up an endpoint
- Click New setup and give it a Name, such as "Website contact form".
- Choose the Agent that makes the call and the numbers to Call from. With several numbers, attempts rotate between them; texts go from the first.
- Under Fields, list any extra information your form sends that the agent should know, such as "What they need". Mark a field required if every lead must include it.
- Under Timing, choose the Delay (from Instant up to 1 hour), the number of Attempts, and Retry after (minutes, comma-separated), for example "5, 30".
- Switch on Only call during a window and set From, Until and Timezone to avoid calling at night. Leads that arrive outside the window wait for it to open.
- Use Ignore the same number again within to avoid calling someone twice when they submit twice, or choose Never — call every time.
- Save, then switch the setup on with the switch at the top.
Receipt and missed-call texts
Under Texts, you can switch on two optional messages:
- When a lead comes in: for example, "Hi {firstName|there}, thanks for reaching out — calling you now."
- After the first missed call (once): sent a single time if the first call isn't answered.
Text in curly brackets is filled from the lead; the part after the | is used when that value is missing.
Send leads to the endpoint
Copy the endpoint address with Copy endpoint URL. Your system sends each lead to it as JSON, authenticated with a brand API key (create one under Settings → Integrations). It accepts a phone number in any format, firstName/lastName or fullName, email, timezone, externalId, and the fields you declared. Send externalId (your CRM record ID) and a repeat post of the same lead is ignored instead of calling twice.
Test it
Click Test, enter your phone number and click Call me. The test runs the real path with no delay, no window and no texts, and it isn't counted as a real lead. Your phone should ring within a few seconds.
Read the lead log
The Speed to Lead page lists Recent leads across all setups. Filter by setup or status to see every lead, what happened to it, and when it's next up. Statuses are Received, Waiting, Calling, Reached, No answer, Failed, Do not call, Duplicate and Canceled. A waiting lead shows why it's waiting, for example the delay, being outside the calling window, or a retry. Numbers on your Do not call list are never called, and if a lead asks not to be called during the call, they aren't called again.
Switch a setup off
Switching a setup off stops the endpoint accepting leads and cancels any that are waiting. Past leads and calls are kept. A setup can also be switched off for you if its agent is unpublished or its numbers are removed; you'll get a notification if that happens. Outcomes are sent to your webhooks as speed_to_lead.received, speed_to_lead.call_completed and speed_to_lead.closed.
